Marhaba aims to teach users words and sentences in the Syrian (-Lebanese) dialectal Arabic. The app follows a simple principle where users can learn Syrian words with audio and both Arabic and phonetic transcription. Users are then tested on the words they have learned. If they answer enough consecutive questions correctly, they unlock new words. As users progress and learn more words, they will also start learning sentences. The app challenges users to translate sentences themselves in order to unlock new words and sentences.
